This is my submission for Trifecta challenge to write between 33 and 333 words 3a : a trip made by or in an airplane or spacecraft   b : a scheduled airplane trip

We packed our bags, readied to leave

Had all we needed, we did believe

Drove in the car, as fast as allowed

We would not be late, this we avowed

Arrived in time and parked the car

Then had to walk ever so far

A line had formed, we were the  last

As we waited we were aghast

For searching my purse, the tickets weren’t there

Oh no, oh no this just wasn’t fair

Instead of the joy of vacation delight

We had to admit, we would miss our flight.

  1. Ugh, I feared this on our last vacation. So much to remember when you travel with kids!! This is why I like the kiosks in the airport where you print off your ticket. One less thing to worry about 🙂

    • It’s not something I would like to think of happening when we (hopefully) go to Aruba next year for our 50th…I will be checking to make sure this doesn’t happen….Diane
