Would that it were so
That all could choose their path
Of how their lives would be
For love instead of wrath.
Meals for every day
Shelter from the storms
Someone to share their dreams
Where hope within them forms.
We who have the choice
On many of these things
Choose not to realize
The goodness that life brings.
Instead we choose sometimes
To dwell on what we lack
Let’s try instead to see
And bring our visions back.
Back to when we knew
What life we had in mind
For us and those we love
And hope that we can find.
Life is really short
To look at how we’ve failed
Instead let’s view the joy
That oft’ are blessings veiled.

Thanks Lou Ann…Diane
It’s so true, how often we miss seeing just how much we have to be thankful for because we are dwelling on the bits that are not so good! We only have right now, and we can choose to be thankful for our blessings, or to spend right now miserable. Thank you for the reminder xx
Thanks Fiona…for your kind words as usual….Diane
